Original ink and wash brush painting of mountains with Japanese calligraphy, from the important musical pedagogue and creator of the Suzuki method. Signed "Shinichi Suzuki" and dated 1965 on the verso. With typed translation of the text affixed to the verso: "A. Beautiful sounds of strings are recognized. B. If the elasticity of the bow (horses hair) is understood freedom is gained." Silk on card, edged in gold paper. Pin holes at the corners and some light soiling and edge wear; overall fine. 10.5 x 9 inches (27 x 24 cm). (17869)
