"Bang!" - Original Drawing

Bold drawing in black marker from the American cartoonist, depicting the word "BANG!" surrounded by explosive scribbles. Numbered 9 at the lower right. Unsigned, but obtained from a collection of Steig work and guaranteed to be in the hand of the artist. Upper edge rough; overall fine. 10.75 x 8.25 inches (27.5 x 21.3 cm).

The American cartoonist William Steig later became the author of beloved children's books such as Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, the Doctor De Soto series, and Shrek. (17609)
