With earlier gift inscription above. 206 pp. Illustrated by Mary Shepard. Laid in is a slip of paper with Travers' Cambridge, MA address on it, typed, and on the reverse the title of two additional Poppins titles, apparently in the author's hand. Hardcover without dust jacket. Worn at corners and top and bottom of spine, rear free endpaper with small tear at bottom where edge stuck to rear pastedown. Boston bookstore label to half-title page. Overall fine. 5 x 7.5 inches (13 x 19 cm).

Travers was a writer-in-residence at Radcliffe College in 1965.  (17578)
