Signed Hirschfeld Lithograph of Vladimir Horowitz

Signed print of the beloved pianist by the noted American artist Al Hirschfeld. Lithograph, 1978, signed Hirschfeld in pencil at the lower right and numbered 18/100 in pencil at the lower left. Sight size 16.5 x 16 inches (41.9 x 40.6 cm), attractively matted and framed to an overall size of 22 x 21 inches. Very fine.

Hirschfeld drew musicians always with incredible fluidity and they were, perhaps, his favorite subjects. He drew Horowitz several times and the present example includes the hidden Hirschfeld trademark 'NINA' at the base of the pianist's hair. (17532)
