Formen im Kreis - Signed Print on a New Year's Card
New Year's card, 1963, from the German-French artist, with a signed woodcut in colors on the front of the card, on wove paper, and a printed message with inscription on the inside page from Jean and Marguerite Arp. The print is a circular composition in blue, with abstract forms in yellow, red, and green; Arp has signed at the lower left in pencil. On the internal page, he or his wife has added "et merci pour vos voeux" to the printed message of "Bonne Année! / Jean et Marguerite ARP." Jean Arp married his second wife, collector Marguerite Hagenbach (1902–1994) in 1959.
