Two Photographs Showing His Violin

Two vintage photographs of the great violinist with soprano Lily Pons, ca. 1950's. Milstein is seen showing off his violin, presumably the 1716 ‘Goldman’ Stradivari, which he later renamed the ‘Marie-Thérèse’ after his wife and daughter. Stamped on the verso by the United Seamen's Service. Some very light corner creases, but overall very fine. 10 x 8 inches (25.5 x 20.8 cm). (17208)
