Signed Photograph to "our excellent Waltraute, First Norn and Magdalene!"

Signed photograph of the German composer and conductor, son of Richard Wagner, and director of the Bayreuth Festival from 1908 to 1930. He is shown in a profile portrait and has signed and inscribed in pencil on the mount to alto Lotte Dörwald (translated from the German): "To Frau Dörwald, our excellent Waltraute, First Norn and Magdalene! / Siegfried Wagner / 1925." Also signed by the photographer on the mount. Matt rather toned, with some light water damage at the left edge; overall fine. Photograph 6.5 x 8 inches (16.2 x 20.6 cm), overall size 9.25 x 12.5 inches (23.5 x 32 cm). (17203)
