Sammelband of sheet music to popular songs published in the United States, ca. 1860's–1890's. The volume contains approx. 38 items of music loosely bound in large hardcover album with decorative front board, featuring a color portrait of a young woman and elaborate silver and gold flowers surrounding the word "Music." Included are songs by Anton Rubinstein ("Thou'rt like unto a flower," Boston: Oliver Ditson & Co., [ca. 1874]), Arthur Sullivan ("Will he come?" No publisher's information, [P.N.] 1746.5); Franz Abt (several songs), and many others. Several of the pieces with heavy wear, large tears and losses; most with edge wear and some soiling and toning.
