Translated from the German: "Dear Herr von Reuter, to my regret I was only able to attend the first half of your concert. I would have also liked to hear the [...], because I will soon have the opportunity to write something [...]. In any case I congratulate you heartily on your success. What astonished me the most, was that you still have the ending to the Melodie... If you're ever in this part of the city, I would be very happy if you would visit me."
