Hungarian-Swiss art dealer, collector, psychoanalyst and author Carl Laszlo (1923–2013) is remembered for his unique collection which included thousands of Buddhist statues, together with works by William Blake, Salvador Dali, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and many others. As a child, he survived several concentration camps, later writing about the experience in several books. In art and antiques circles, he was nicknamed "The Magician" and known for his flamboyant appearances among aristocracy, the media, and artists. (17008)
