"Miles Ahead" - Signed 2014 Production Documents

Group of signed production documents from the 2015 film Miles Ahead, directed by and starring Don Cheadle as Miles Davis. The folder of documents from Day 1 of the shoot in Cincinnati, OH on July 7, 2014, includes an Actor Timesheet signed by Don Cheadle ("DC"), Ewan McGregor, Michael Bath, Aswan Harris and Chris Hahn; 16 timecards completed by each department of the production; a call sheet signed by production manager Charlie Dibe and assistant director Jesse Nye; a further call sheet; a 2-page daily production report with annotations in red ink, yellow highlighter and blue post-its, and a color copy of the production report. In fine condition overall; 8.5 x 11 inches and 8.5 x 14 inches.

Miles Ahead, co-written and directed by Don Cheadle, stars Cheadle as the troubled jazz musician. Cheadle took a free-form approach to the film's narrative. Skipping around in time, it depicts Davis' attempts to get his career back on track following a period of inactivity and drug addiction in the 1970s, fictional adventures with a journalist (played by Ewan McGregor) who wants to profile him, and his troubled marriage to a former dancer (Emayatzy Corinealdi). Filming took place from July 7 to August 16, 2014. The film was largely well-received. (16995)
