Signed sepia tone Pinchot of NY photograph of the American composer who melded the jazz idiom with classical music forms in a number of timeless orchestral and stage works, including Rhapsody in Blue and Porgy and Bess. Original 8 x 10 inch photograph of the smiling composer, boldly inscribed in black ink in the lower blank margin "For Edith Limburg - With greetings + all my best wishes, George Gershwin" and dated "Apr. 21, 1936."
