Archibald David Constable (1774–1827) was a Scottish publisher, bookseller and stationer. He was known as the owner of the Scots Magazine, the Farmer's Magazine, and the Edinburgh Review, all founded around the turn of the nineteenth century, for publishing several of the works of Walter Scott, and for buying and enlarging the Encyclopaedia Britannica in 1816–1824. His firm continues today as Constable & Robinson. (16603)
