Half vellum with brown cloth boards; spine with red and gold paste-on title. Color frontispiece of the author, overlaid with a woodcut of violin maker Jacobus Stainer printed on tissue paper. Several ownership stamps and signatures throughout. Some very light wear and toning; overall very fine. With a handmade cardboard slipcover, slightly damaged with some heavy toning.
