Autograph Christmas card from the Italian composer, teacher of Puccini and Mascagni at the Milano Conservatory and whose "La Gioconda" remains a favorite. On a small card printed with an image of clasped hands and the words "Buone Feste," he has penned: "Per parte dei conjugi Ponchielli" ("on behalf of the Ponchiellis.")
