Signed Program with Letter from an Audience Member

Signed program from the brilliant violinist, who performed for the Fresno Musical Club on April 13, 1950. The program included Mozart's Sonata no 8, Bruch's Scottish Fantasy, and as noted in pencil at the foot, three encores. 4 pp. Together with an autograph letter from the fan who obtained the signature (April 14, 1950; 2 pp.), reporting on the concert and on her meeting with Heifetz: "Last night's violin recital was the real treat for me... I have never heard Heifetz play so brilliantly at any time...When we obtained his autograph we were privileged to see the new Mrs. Heifetz, but I am always depressed with these sort of people when I come in such close contact with them." Also included is a further program from the Fresno State College Concert Band's performance one day earlier, which is also described in the letter. Folding creases; overall fine.
