1968 press photograph of the Japanese performance artist overseeing a nude dance protest in Manhattan's financial district in July 1968. Press caption at the right reads: "In an altogether unexpected appearance at the foot of George Washington's statue at Federal Hall on Manhattan's Wall Street, psychedelic painter and sunbathing enthusiast Yayoi Kusama and her troupe put on a mixed show of anatomy, conga playing, and body painting 7/14.
