Signed photograph from the American pianist and teacher of Ukrainian birth. He is shown at the keyboard and has signed and inscribed at the upper left, dating January 3, 1934. Slightly buckled; otherwise overall fine. 7.25 x 9 inches (18.2 x 23 cm).

A Josef Lhevinne pupil who studied composition with Goldmark, Gordonitzki was a major touring artist who specialized in the Romantic piano repertory. He was a professor for many years at Juilliard, where he taught Emmanuel Ax and Garrick Ohlsson, among others.  (16113)
