Signed postcard photograph of the American composer, shown playing at the piano. He has signed and inscribed at the upper right in purple ink to a Lionel Pearson. A crisp image in very fine condition. 5.5 x 3.5 inches (13.8 x 8.8 cm).
Cadman published several articles on American Indian music and became known as an expert on the subject, especially after his Indian-influenced song "From the Land of the Sky-Blue Water" was performed by Lillian Nordica. He composed in nearly every genre, including operas, orchestral music and art songs, as well as writing several film scores.
