Original Concert Program

Original single-sheet program from a January 28, 1900 concert by members of the Vienna Court and Opera Orchestra, under the direction of Gustav Mahler. The program featured Bruckner's Symphony no. 4, Mendelssohn's Overture to "Meeresstille und glückliche Fahrt," and Wagner's Kaisermarsch. Also advertised at the foot is a February 18 performance of Beethoven's Ninth. Original programs from Mahler's illustrious Viennese tenure are quite scarce.
