The piano composition Seven Anniversaries was composed in 1943 and consists of seven movements, each written for a different person in Bernstein’s life, including Serge Koussevitzky, Aaron Copland, and William Schuman. Bernstein would write several more similar sets of "anniversary pieces" in following years. (15869)
