1924 Festival Program with 19 Great Pianists

Very interesting original concert program from the December 30, 1924 Piano Festival held at the Metropolitan Opera House. Conducted by Walter Damrosch, the incredible ensemble of pianists performing included Harold Bauer, Alexander Brailowsky, Carl Friedberg, Ossip Gabrilowitsch, Myra Hess, Ernest Hutcheson, Ethel Leginska, Mischa LEvitzki, Josef Lhevinne, Guy Maier, Yolanda Mero, Elly Ney, Guiomar Novaes, Lee Pattison, Olga Samaroff, Ernest Schelling, Germaine Schnitzer, Alexander Siloti and Zygmunt Stojowski. The program, some of which featured all of the pianists all playing at the same time (!) included works by Saint-Saëns, Schumann, Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rossini, and Schubert. Schubert's Marche Militaire, with all 19 pianists, concluded the program. 32 pp., including many pages of advertisements.
