Autograph signature from the great pianist, perhaps the single most prominent and influential piano pedagogue ever to teach in America. She has signed boldly on a large album leaf, dated August 21, 1931 and added: "In kind remembrance of this evening and my husband playing in the beautiful Hollywood Bowl." Lhevinne's husband, Josef Lhevinne, had appeared that evening with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Toning; upper edge slightly rough; overall fine. 8 x 12 inches (21 x 31 cm). (15575)
