Uncommon original photograph of the brilliant French violinist, a prodigy who died tragically young. She is shown preparing for a concert, holding music and her instrument as she sits next to her open violin case. Some light edge and corner creases, with one small hole to the upper margin; otherwise in fine condition. 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.9 cm).

The young violinist gained international recognition when she won the Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition at the age of 16. Tragically, she was killed at the age of 30 in a plane crash on her way to the US for a concert tour. (15269)
