Original oversized ticket to the 1956 premiere of the epic Western "Giant," directed by George Stevens and starring Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, and James Dean. The ticket displays its original price of $100 ($97.50 of which was a donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Associations of America.) The verso of the ticket displays the seat number. Giant is a 1956 American epic Western drama film, directed by George Stevens from a screenplay adapted by Fred Guiol and Ivan Moffat from Edna Ferber's 1952 novel. It was the last of James Dean's three films as a leading actor, and earned him his second and last Academy Award nomination – he was killed in a car accident before the film was released. (15245)
