Three Signed Books

Three signed books, listed below, from the important American Modernist painter, known for his abstract cityscapes and for his huge number of drawings of Isadora Duncan. Together with  three exhibition flyers from 1966, 1970 and 1971, and a 1966 newspaper clipping.

Jewish Artists. Ghetto Motives (New York: Machmadin Art Editions, 1946), printed in Hebrew, bound in red cloth. Signed on the front free endpaper. Light shelf wear to the spine; overall fine. 8 x 10.75 inches (20.5 x 27.3 cm).

Improvisations of New York: A Symphony in Lines (Girard, Kansas: Haldeman-Julius Publications, 1948). Signed on the front wrapper and additionally on the title page. Large chips to the corners with front wrapper almost detached and large loss at the upper spine; overall good. 8.5 x 11 inches (21.5 x 27.5 cm).

A Demonstration of Objective, Abstract, and Non-Objective Art (Girard, Kansas: Haldeman-Julius Publications, 1945). Signed on the front wrapper. Overall toning and two tears to the back wrapper; otherwise fine. 8.5 x 11 inches (21.5 x 27.5 cm). (15204)
