Signed 1958 "Cotton Club...Musical Menu" Concert Prospectus and Original Photograph

Original 1958 "Musical Menu" from the Cotton Club jazz club of Atlantic City, N.J., signed on the back page by the American singer known as "Queen of the Blues." The program is a prospectus for the club's 1958 summer season, which included appearances by Washington, Dizzy Gillespie, Gene Krupa and others. On the blank address page, Washington has penned: "Musically yours / Dinah Washington." Together with an original 8 x 10 photograph of the singer.

Despite her early death, Washington is generally regarded as one of the most influential vocalists of the twentieth century. (15152)
