"Johann Mouse" - 4 Original Tom & Jerry Animation Photographs

A group of four original MGM animation glossy doubleweight photographs from the 1952 Tom & Jerry short Johann Mouse. Tom and Jerry are shown playing their usual game of cat-and-mouse around a piano in a Viennese attic. Each photograph with original typed caption and a green ink stamp "Approved / Feb 24 1953 / Advertising Administration Hollywood" on the verso. Each 10 x 8 inches.

Placing the popular cat and mouse characters in Vienna, Johann Mouse is inspired by the work of Viennese composer Johann Strauss II, and was released on March 21, 1953 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera and produced by Fred Quimby with music by Scott Bradley and Jakob Gimpel (who plays the piano in this short) and narration by Hans Conried, the cartoon was animated by Kenneth Muse, Ray Patterson, Ed Barge and Irven Spence, with backgrounds by Robert Gentle.  (15148)
