A rare signed photograph from the American violinist, composer and friend of Debussy. Hartmann has inscribed the photograph postcard to "the handsome Ruth," the wife of Paul Heinecke, the U.S. director of the important music publishers Breitkopf & Härtel. Dated Berlin, January 11, 1923. Postcard with very heavy toning and wrinkling, but signature still legible; overall in good condition. 3.5 x 5.5 inches (8.8 x 13.3 cm).
