Signed photograph of the Russian-Swedish violinist who toured widely in Europe and the United States in the 1920's, inscribed to Paul Heinecke, the U.S. director of the important music publishers Breitkopf & Härtel. He has penned at the lower right (translated from the German): "To Herr Paul Heinecke in friendly remembrance of our work together. Issay Mitnitzky, New York, May 9, 1921." Embossed by photographers the Milton Studios at the lower right. The photograph has unfortunately been torn almost completely across the center, not affecting the crisp signature; overall in fair condition. 4.75 x 7.5 inches (12.3 x 19 cm).
