Signed photograph from the the American jazz and pop vocal quartet of the 20th century who made more than 2,000 recordings, sold more than 50 million copies, and garnered at least three dozen gold records. Signed and inscribed to photographer Nat Silverman: "To Nat / This was a great idea / Thanks / Mills Bros," with a further signature below each of their images from singers Donald, John Sr., and Herbert, and guitarist Clif White. Tape remnants to the left edge; otherwise in fine condition. 10 x 8 inches (25.3 x 20.1 cm).

From the collection of Nat Singerman, a professional photographer and co-owner of Character Arts Photo Studio in Cleveland, Ohio during the 1940's and 1950's. During this period he met and befriended many jazz legends who performed at clubs in and around Cleveland and Chicago. He took many photographs of performances as well as numerous candid shots taken backstage. He also hosted jam sessions and dinners at his studio where other images from the archive were shot. He collected signatures from many of his jazz musician friends, always asking them to sign in white ink on the prints he made of their pictures. (15056)
