[Harmonica] [Hohner Harmonicas]

Oversized Replica Marine Band Harmonica

A striking oversized replica harmonica, constructed ca. 1950's from cardboard and vacuform plastic as an advertising display piece for Hohner, manufacturers of harmonicas and accordions. Just as on the real item, the top of the harmonica is detailed with numbers, the company's logo, and the text, "Marine Band M. Hohner." Some areas of wear, scuffs and dents to the plastic areas, but overall in fine condition. 6.5 x 24 x 5 inches.

The Marine Band has been Hohner's most popular model of harmonica for generations, originally made in Germany on a wood comb. Most blues and rock artists play a Marine Band; several noted users are Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Little Walter and Neil Young. (14642)
