Brice, Fanny. (1891–1951)

Signed Photograph with Baby Snooks Photograph, Paper Doll, and Magazine Cover

Signed photograph of the popular comedienne, singer, theatre and film actress, who made many stage, radio and film appearances and is known as the creator and star of the top-rated radio comedy series, The Baby Snooks Show. She is shown in her Baby Snooks hair bow and trademark goofy smile, and has inscribed the photo and dated 1947. Together with a fine original late-1930's press photograph of Brice as Baby Snooks lighting a firecracker, a 1938 cover of Stage magazine showing Baby Snooks and her teddy bear, and a die-cut paper doll of the Baby Snooks character dating from 1950. A charming collection of items from the actress who inspired Barbra Streisand's character in Funny Girl!
