Signed halftone photograph of the great British conductor, taken from a 1949 Promenade Concerts program. Sargent has signed boldly in pencil below his image. Dated January 22 [1949] on the verso, and with the program order of the concert, which included the premiere of Gordon Jacob's Music for a Prince as well as works by Howells, Tippett, Elgar, Ireland, Grieg, and Verdi.
