Autograph note sending "a big hug + lots of love on your HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from the great dancer/choreographer Jerome Robbins to Lincoln Kirstein, the American writer, impresario, art connoisseur, and cultural figure in New York City who, with George Balanchine, founded the New York City Ballet (first known as the "Ballet Society") in 1948. Penned on Robbins' letterhead notecard and signed "Jerry." Undated [ca. 1990-1995]. One tear at the right edge; otherwise in very good condition. 5 x 3.5 inches (12.4 x 8.8 cm).
