An unusual wartime signed photograph of the German Heldenbaritone and Intendant of the Deutsche Oper Berlin during the Nazi era. Rode is shown in his starring role as Hans Sachs in Die Meistersinger, photographed by W. Saeger of Berlin. He has signed boldly and dated Berlin, May 1943.
