An early original signed H. Hering of London CDV portrait of the great Hungarian violinist, dedicatee of the Brahms Concerto and many other works. Joachim is shown as a young man, seated with his violin on the table next to him, a framed portrait of Stradivari on the wall over his shoulder. 3 x 4.5 inches. Upper edge slightly trimmed, else fine. An ideal example. (13686)
