Signed trimmed page from an early Hungarian recital program given by "the lady of the golden bow," dating from Parlow's years touring in Europe, ca. 1907-1912. Parlow has signed boldly in pencil above the ambitious list of works, which includes Vitali, Vieuxtemps, Rimsky-Korsakov, Brahms, Kreisler, and others. Creases around the edges, a few spots and tape remnants on the verso; overall in very good condition. 4.5 x 7.25 inches (11.3 x 18.5 cm).  Together with a later 4 x 6 reproduction photograph of Parlow. Scarce. 

The Canadian violinist is widely considered one the world's greatest female violinists ever. She studied in San Francisco and in St. Petersburg with Auer, giving her first recital at the age of six, and by the age of 15 she was performing for the British Royal Family. After many years of successful playing and touring, she taught at the Toronto Conservatory of Music.The renowned Parlow String Quartet, which was active from 1943 to 1958, acquired an international reputation.
