Autograph Christmas Card

1948 Christmas card from the important American pianist and philanthropist, wife of composer Edward MacDowell and founder of the MacDowell Colony for artists in Peterborough, New Hampshire. On a small card printed with a stanza of poetry and MacDowell's name, she has signed with "affectionate good wishes." With the original envelope addressed to a Dr. and Mrs. Harrington in Peterborough and postmarked December 18, 1948 in California. In very fine condition. 4.25 x 3.5 inches (10.8 x 9 cm) folded.
