1954 Autograph Signature "Souvenir du Concerto de Berg"
A rare signature from the great Belgian violinist, mounted together with a reproduction photograph. Grumiaux has penned the signature as a "Souvenir du Concerto de Berg," and dated June 1954. On a small leaf, 6 x 4 inches (15 x 10 cm); photograph 3.75 x 5 inches (9.6 x 12.5 cm); total size 8.25 x 11.75 inches (21 x 29.7 cm). In very fine condition. Signatures from Grumiaux are rather elusive.Arthur Grumiaux was a prince among violinists and brought an uncommon tenderness and sweetness to his recording and performances of the Berg Concerto.
