"La Cabréra" - Rare AMQS on a Postcard
An uncomoon autograph musical quotation from the French composer known for his operas and chamber music. On a postcard showing a pagoda in Mandalay, Burma, Dupont has penned three measures from the prelude to his opera La Cabréra, which won him the Sonzogno Prize in Italy in 1905. He has signed boldly across the image and dated Paris, October 1905. On the verso, the postcard is addressed to the Argentinian collector Ramona Imaz Otaño, with original French stamp and postmark.
