Signed photograph of the "Thunderbolt of the West," arguably the greatest male gospel singer of all time, posing in his white robes and crucifix. May has signed and inscribed the photo at the lower right to a "friend and gospel singer," dated July 25, 1967. Some small scratches and creases to the photograph; mounted on black paper, with part of a 1971 first grade yearbook mounted on the verso; overall a crisp image and signature in very good condition. 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm).
