Autograph Musical Quotation with Note

AMQS from the American composer and pianist, son of the important hymn composer Lowell Mason.  Mason has penned four measures for piano in A flat major, Allegro precioso.  Below the musical quotation, Mason writes to a Miss Hamilton: "I have written out the above musical autograph which I hope may be satisfactory... hoping to have the pleasure of seeing you at the 'Shoals' again during the present summer."  Dated Orange, N.J., June 5, 1888.  Some creases, a slight tear, and wrinkling; otherwise in fine condition.  14.5 x 22.5 cm, tipped to a mount 17.5 x 10 cm.   (12852)
