Moscow, January 17, 1964. Shostakovich writes (translated from the Russian): "Dear Vasya, I am sending you my warmest birthday greetings. Love and kisses. Yours, D. Shostakovich." On a small slip, 8.3 x 14.2 cm, in very fine condition. With the original envelope in the composer's hand, 15.7 x 11.4 cm.
