Autograph Signature

Autograph signature of the Polish-born French stage performer and singer most often associated with impresario Florenz Ziegfeld, her common-law husband.  Daughter of a German-Jewish glove maker, Held began performing as a singer in Paris and met Ziegfeld in London; she returned with him to New York, where she enjoyed Broadway success and helped him to establish the Ziegfeld Follies. She has signed a small card with slight mounting remnants on the verso; otherwise in very fine condition.  10.4 x 6.5 cm. (12813)
