Original 1963 playbill cover of the Harnick and Bock musical She Loves Me, signed by its stars, Tony Award winner and Kennedy Center honoree Barbara Cook and well-known Broadway performers Daniel Massey, Jack Cassidy and Barbara Baxley. Headshots of each performer from inside the program have been pasted to the cover beside each signature. Left edge rough, with some slight tears to the edges and slight discoloration; otherwise in fine condition. 1 page, removed from program. 15.3 x 22.9 cm.She Loves Me, based on the same play which inspired The Shop Around the Corner and later, You've Got Mail, is the story of Budapest shop employees Georg Nowack (Daniel Massey) and Amalia Balash (Barbara Cook) who, despite being consistently at odds with each other at work, are unaware that each is the other's secret pen pal met through lonely-hearts ads. The musical was a success and Jack Cassidy's role won him Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical in the 1964 Tony's. Composer and lyricist team Harnick and Bock went on to write Fiddler on the Roof the following year. (12807)
