An early signature from the young Robert Redford, in his biggest Broadway success, the 1963 Neil Simon play Barefoot in the Park. Redford and fellow cast members Herb Edelman and Ruth White have signed over the cast listing. Simon's play, starring Redford and Elizabeth Ashley as young newlyweds, was a huge success and the tenth longest-running non-musical play in Broadway history. Penny Fuller replaced Elizabeth Ashley in 1964. The play was made into a successful 1967 film with Jane Fonda, one of Redford's early leading film roles.
