Signed Playbill Cover of "Fade Out - Fade In"

Original playbill cover from the 1964 musical Fade Out - Fade In, signed by the composer, Jule Styne, celebrated British-born American songwriter who wrote the scores for many Broadway shows, most notably Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Bells Are Ringing, Gypsy, Do Re Mi, Funny Girl, Sugar, and the Tony-winning Hallelujah, Baby!. On the cover is the show's star, legendary comedian and singer Carol Burnett.  Left edge rough and some chipping around the corners; otherwise in fine condition.  1 page, removed from program. 15 x 23 cm.

Fade Out - Fade In, the story of a hopeful but clumsy chorus girl accidentally given a starring movie role, had a book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and music by Jule Styne.  Initially a box-office hit which outgrossed Hello, Dolly! and Funny Girl, it lost momentum and closed after the star, Carol Burnett, was injured.
