[Violinists & Cellists] Krasner, Louis. (1903–1995) & Bernstein, Leonard. (1918–1990)

Original Photograph

Original press photograph ca. 1945-7 of the American conductor and composer showing off new gloves to Krasner, the renowned American violinist who premiered the violin concertos of Alban Berg and Arnold Schoenberg and who was a close associate of Webern.  Bernstein conducted the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra for two seasons in 1945 and 1947, when Krasner was concertmaster of the orchestra. A charming image of the young Bernstein and his older colleague, with very slight creasing, else in fine condition.  20 x 25 cm. (12767)
