Autograph manuscript sketchleaf

A large manuscript sketchleaf of eleven measures, written by the admired conductor and son of the violinist, Jan Kubelik, who was also an accomplished composer.

A substantial sketchleaf of an unidentified instrumental work, evidenly from a working manuscript, the music is written in pencil on two systems of five staves. The voices are incomplete, and there is evidence of annotations and corrections throughout. On the verso, he has composed two systems of two staves with further brief incomplete sketches, beneath which Kubelik has signed in bold black ink. One large horizontal crease and some creasing and wear around the edges, left edge rough; otherwise very good condition. 24.2 x 31.7 cm. (12695)
